Rob Manker of the Chicago Tribune writes that NBA.com’s store briefly signaled some good news to Bulls fans who want to see free agent LeBron James sign with Chicago.
Conspiracy-minded Bulls fans had a field day with word Thursday afternoon that a LeBron James Bulls jersey was already for sale on NBA.com. Well, not exactly. A page showing a James No. 6 Bulls jersey was briefly viewable there, but its origin was unclear. While anyone can customize a jersey on the site with the name and number of his or her choice, this would not result in the customized product being visible to all. So, does the NBA know something about the league’s most coveted free agent that the rest of us don’t? Bulls fans would like to think so.
