In a now widely reported story, Tom Izzo has publicly proclaimed his loyalty and apparently lifelong dedication to the Michigan State University basketball program. In doing so, he has effectively removed himself from the running for the Cleveland Cavaliers coaching job. Many believe this is good news for the Chicago Bulls, because (so the story goes) Izzo would have been more inclined to take the Cleveland job if he believed LeBron James was intent on staying with the Cavs. By all appearances, Lebron will now avail himself of the charms of any NBA team willing to court him. This could put the Bulls in prime position to make a move.
