The move of Marian Hossa to injured reserve, retroactive to Nov. 29, is largely procedural -- he isn't due back for at least another week or two and the Blackhawks needed some roster space. The Hawks seem injury-bit this year. Patrick Kane is out for an indefinite length of time and Fernando Pisani also won't be back for a few more games.

Tonight's game also features the return of popular former Blackhawk Adam Burish, one of many of the Stanley Cup champions dealt off for salary cap reasons. His Stars have won seven of their last ten, as have the Blackhawks, so this will be a good test for Corey Crawford, who is expected to start in goal tonight.
