Chicago Blackhawks Vs. Dallas Stars: Marian Hossa To Injured Reserve

Stay connected for news and updates

The move of Marian Hossa to injured reserve, retroactive to Nov. 29, is largely procedural -- he isn't due back for at least another week or two and the Blackhawks needed some roster space. Recalled for tonight's game against the Dallas Stars are Jeremy Morin and Rob Klinkhammer, profiled in this commentary by SB Nation Chicago's David Miller.

The Hawks seem injury-bit this year. Patrick Kane is out for an indefinite length of time and Fernando Pisani also won't be back for a few more games.

Tonight's game also features the return of popular former Blackhawk Adam Burish, one of many of the Stanley Cup champions dealt off for salary cap reasons. His Stars have won seven of their last ten, as have the Blackhawks, so this will be a good test for Corey Crawford, who is expected to start in goal tonight.

Tonight's game begins at 7:30 p.m. CST and will be televised on CSN Chicago Plus. In Chicago this channel can be seen on your CLTV channel, on Comcast systems in Chicago the HD version is on channel 285.
