Bulls Vs. Knicks: Bulls Try For Third Consecutive Win

The Chicago Bulls will face a New York Knicks team that seems to be on an unlucky streak. First, they were unable to play their last home game due to asbestos falling from the ceiling at Madison Square Garden during routine cleaning a few nights ago. Now they come to the United Center, where they have lost the last four games they have played there. And while the Knicks are looking to avoid losing three consecutive games, the Bulls are looking for their third consecutive win after excellent performances from Luol Deng, who scored a career-high 40 points in Monday's win over Portland, and Derrek Rose's 39 points in the Bulls victory against Detriot on Saturday.

According to a release from the Bulls:

"During the first two games, (Deng) didn't shoot the ball well, but I thought he played well," said Thibodeau, who was with the Knicks from 1996-2003. "He's moving without the ball, he's cutting hard, he's making the extra pass and he's playing really good defense."

Former Bulls player Eddy Curry returns to the United Center with the Knicks, but wil not play due to an injury. According to an article on Chicago Breaking Sports:

"Lot of great memories. ... I had some of the best times of my life here playing for Chicago," Curry said in an interview with the Tribune. "They gave me my first opportunity to come into the NBA. So for that I am always grateful and have a lot of respect for them."

Curry was only 18 when he was selected as the fourth pick in the 2001 draft by Jerry Krause.

The Bulls are still without Carlos Boozer, who is out with a fracture of the fifth metacarpal.

Tonight's game will be televised at 7 p.m. on TNT.
